Soul Search - Bury The Blame (Outburst Cover)

It seems every year at Sound and Fury one band stands out more so than all the others, to me at least.  Three years ago it was Trapped Under Ice, two years ago it was Mindset, last year it was Not Sorry (followed by Terror, a very close second).  This year for me it was Soul Search.

Prior to this years Sound and Fury I had only listened to Soul Searches demo, and maybe only once or twice at that, definitely not enough times to leave a lasting impression on me.  But after their set I made a point to pick up their 7" I saw at their merch table.  Little did I know, my procrastination almost prevented me from getting this record.  Later in the day when I finally decided to pick up this record (hunger had prevented me from picking it up earlier), I literally got the last record they had to sell.  How's that for luck!

I'm not sure if BBB has released this record yet, or if they just released 50 of them for Sound and Fury. The last few records I have gotten from BBB Records, from a recording aspect, have each sounded great on vinyl.  And this record is no exception.  It's a ripper.  My only complaint is that it only has 4 songs..it definitely leaves me wanting more.  Guess I'll have to go back and listen to the demo some more to get my fix.

#48/50 was the display on the merch table

Not Sorry - Our Choices

My first in what is sure to become a surge of REACT! Records posts.

Not Sorry have quickly become one of my favorite current hardcore bands.  Each release continues to make me love this band more and more.  I wish they would tour more than what they do, because I think they would be huge if they did so.

400 on Black

200 on White

300 on Yellow

50 on Green

This is the closest I've come to having a complete set for one record.  That's how much I like this band and record.  I'm missing the Green vinyl with record release cover, Transition colors, and the Test Press.  I doubt that I'll ever complete it... but hey, I guy can hope right?

Our Turn - Step Aside EP

I figured I would finish off my very, very small Our Turn collection with their "Step Aside EP".  I got this record from Dennis James McDonald II, aka Dooters (famous for jumping around with a guitar in Internal Affairs) for either my 29th or 30th birthday.  I had been bugging him to give me this record for awhile since for some reason he's not a record guy...more of a T-shirt guy..

This was originally released as a demo tape, but then received the vinyl treatment.  Not sure the pressing info on this record.  If anyone knows I would be much obliged.

Our Turn - Catch Your Breath

Our Turn - "Catch Your Breath"  I bought this record at Posi Numbers '04 in Wilkes Barre PA, having never heard of Our Turn before.  I bought the record because they were on the same label as Desperate Measures, and at the time I was listening to their 7" and LP all the time.   Thus began my obsession all things related to Youngblood Records.  I'm sad to say that I didn't get the change to see Our Turn at Posi Numbers (probably because I had never heard of them before) or at all for that matter.  Once returning home and listening to the record, I was hooked.  I love everything about this record, the layout, the artwork (I'm a sucker for dudes "standing hard" or "hooded up"), the posi numbers stamp, oh yeah...and the music.  It's funny, this band released a demo and a 7"..less than 10 songs all together, but they will always be one of my favorite hardcore bands.

Pressing Info - 1st Press out of 225 / Clear Vinyl / Blue Stripe with Blue Labels / Posi #'s Stamp

If anyone has any other Our Turn records...trade me!  I have only this and the "Step Aside EP" on gold.
